BHI strives to provide the next generation of breast surgeons with the tools necessary to combat breast cancer. Our International Fellowships educate these breast surgeons with the most up-to-date technology available worldwide.
Breast Health International, thanks to funds raised by the Versace fashion house, has established the “first of its kind” multidisciplinary program in breast diseases based in the UK, Italy and the Far East. Unlike other such fellowships within a single institution, the Versace/BHI fellow has an opportunity to rotate through not only surgical services, but also surgical pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, and other specialties. This exposure to different fields and differences in philosophies of care will add immeasurably to the fellow’s judgment and skills.
The year-long program is open to candidates from Southeast Asian countries who would not otherwise be able to study in a multidisciplinary centre.
Hospitals affiliated with the program include the following: Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, London, UK; European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy; Singapore General Hospital, Singapore; and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR.
